A variety of arts and entertainment exhibits, performances, and showcases will take place at venues throughout the downtown. Live music at restaurants and cafes, plus art exhibits at many businesses and galleries provide plenty to take in on the evening. Art exhibits include photography, paintings and sculptures, while music ranges from jazz groups to solo pianists and choral groups to guitar players.

Not at all. Pick and choose whatever events you wish to visit. There is no order required and visitors are free to enjoy the venues at their leisure.

Q: Does third Friday operate in conjunction with other events?

While Third Friday is organized each month as a stand-alone event, it is not uncommon for the date to coincide with other events that are planned around the same time. Examples include the Fine Arts Fiesta in May, Wyoming Valley Riverfest in June and the Osterhout Free Library Book Sale in June.

All you have to do is come to downtown Wilkes-Barre.  You can start the walk at any of the venues. Since each venue is different, the features will vary. Many venues provide art exhibits, beverages, food and live music.

Q: Where should I park?

Parking is available at meters along North Main, South Main and Washington streets. Meters are free after 6 p.m. Also find parking at several garages, including:
